Lisboa Velha means "Old Lisbon", a tribute to the city of trams, kiosks and tiled façades that visitors come to find. The wine comes from the Lisbon wine region, where the nearby Atlantic keeps the wines fresh and balanced. This red is a dry, smooth blend of Castelão, Aragonez and Syrah.
Notas de cata
Deep ruby. Fruity, with ripe red berries and a subtle hint of spice. Soft, balanced and smooth, with gentle tannins and a medium-bodied finish.
Variedades y región
Castelão, Aragonez and Syrah, from the IGP Lisboa region on Portugal's Atlantic coast. Castelão is one of southern Portugal's classic red grapes, Aragonez is the Portuguese name for Tempranillo, and Syrah adds colour and spice.
Elaboración
Traditional fermentation with temperature control and selected yeasts.
Servicio y conservación
Serve at 16–18 °C with grilled meat, roasts, pasta with tomato or meat sauce, pizza, cured meats and aged cheeses.
