L’histoire
Founded in 1992 in Sousela, Lousada, Caves do Monte – Vinhos S.A. was built to make the Vinho Verde wines of the region known internationally. Operating from a 42,000 m² facility with two high-speed bottling lines and over 2 million litres of inox storage, the company combines scale with quality. Under winemaker António Sousa, the portfolio spans entry-level Valemesio and Anfitrião through to the Douro DOC prestige tier — the Entre Quintas Grande Reserva Tinto, aged 12 months in French and American oak, is the standout expression of their ambition beyond Vinho Verde.
