About
The story
Adega Mãe is a modern winery in Torres Vedras, in Portugal's Lisboa wine region, created by the Alves family of the Riberalves group. Set on Quinta da Archeira in Ventosa, a few kilometres from the Atlantic, it has around 40 hectares of vines and a production capacity of 1.2 million litres a year. Winemaker Diogo Lopes has led the project since it opened at the end of 2011.
Its ranges include Adega Mãe, Dory and Pinta Negra, and the winery is also known for wine tourism, with visits, tastings and its own restaurant.
