The story
Adega de Borba was established in 1955 in the town of Borba, in Portugal's Alentejo. Its wines carry the DOC Alentejo designation, with reds built on grapes such as Aragonez, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet.
The portfolio is organised into brands for different price points: Adega de Borba, Quintas de Borba, Montes Claros and Havendo Tempo; the varietal Senses range (Syrah, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Alicante Bouschet, Antão Vaz); and Talhas de Borba, made in traditional clay vessels. Everyday wines include Alforge, Convento da Vila and Galitos, which also comes in 3-litre Bag-in-Box. The range is completed by magnums and a line of aguardentes and fortified wines.
