The story
Enoport Wines brings together some of Portugal's oldest wine companies, including Caves Velhas, Caves Dom Teodósio, Adegas Camillo Alves and Caves Moura Basto; the group took the Enoport name in 2005. Its roots go back to 1881, when João Camillo Alves began trading Bucelas wines, and the Caves Velhas brand was created in 1939.
The group owns two key estates: Quinta de São João Batista in the Tejo region, around 145 hectares next to the Paul do Boquilobo biosphere reserve, and Quinta do Boição in Bucelas, whose old vines are mostly Arinto. Its portfolio spans the Tejo, Bucelas, Lisboa, Dão, Vinho Verde, Douro and Setúbal, with brands including Cabeça de Toiro, Quinta do Boição, Quinta de São João Batista, Caves Velhas, Faisão, Lagosta, Casaleiro, Serradayres, Romeira and Moura Basto.
