Gaivota Branca means "white seagull", one of the most familiar birds along the Portuguese coast, as common in city squares as above the harbours. The label borrows it as an everyday emblem, and the wine follows suit: an easy-drinking wine of the European Union, bottled in Portugal, made for everyday occasions rather than special ones.
Tasting notes
Intense, clear ruby. Pronounced wild-berry fruit on the nose; fruity and smooth on the palate, with balanced tannins.
Winemaking
Full destemming, intensive skin maceration and controlled alcoholic fermentation.
Serving and storage
Serve at 14-16°C with red meat, well-seasoned dishes and cheese.
