The Baskerville label shows a rabelo, the flat-bottomed sailing boat that for centuries carried barrels of Port down the Douro to the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Porto, where the wine was aged and shipped to the world. Its English name is a nod to the British merchants who played a central part in that trade. White Port is made from white grapes: a blend of harvests aged five to eight years in stainless steel, golden and rich.

Tasting notes

Golden. Candied fruit, honey, orange blossom and citrus; rich and sweet, with a long finish.

Winemaking

Fortified with wine spirit. A blend of harvests aged five to eight years in stainless-steel vats.
