Galispo's label is a still life of a summer afternoon: fresh fruit, vine leaves and ice cubes around a small crested bird perched on the name. It sets the tone for the wine, a semi-dry Vinho Verde from the DOC region in Portugal's northwest, made to be served cold. The white blends Loureiro, Trajadura and Arinto.
Tasting notes
Yellow with green glints. Fruity nose of apple, lime and peach. Smooth, fresh and young, with a persistent, refreshing finish.
Grapes and region
40% Loureiro, 30% Trajadura and 30% Arinto, from the DOC Vinho Verde region in Portugal's northwest. Loureiro brings floral and citrus aromas, Trajadura adds body and Arinto keeps the acidity bright.
Winemaking
Selected grapes, fermented at controlled temperature.
Serving and storage
Serve at 6–8 °C with fish, white meat, salads and seafood.
