Kingsley is Port with a modern face. Its labels swap the classic Port-house look for bold pop-art portraits, but the name follows a long tradition: Port has been shipped from Porto to Britain for more than three centuries, and many of the houses that built the trade carried English names. Each back label comes with its own long-drink recipe: Kingsley is Port born in Portugal and made for today. Tawny is Port aged in wood: a blend of harvests that spends five to eight years in casks and vats, slowly taking on its amber colour and dried-fruit notes.

Tasting notes

Smooth, rich and mellow, with notes of dried fruit, caramel and roasted nuts and a soft, elegant finish.

Grapes and region

A blend of traditional grape varieties from the Douro's three sub-regions, Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior, grown on the valley's schist soils.

Winemaking

Fortified with wine spirit. A blend of harvests aged five to eight years in wooden casks and vats.

Serving and storage

Serve at 12–16 °C as an aperitif or with dessert. Make it a Tawny Mix: 50 ml Kingsley Tawny, 100 ml ginger soda or cola and plenty of ice, finished with a slice of orange. Best within five years of bottling. Contains sulphites.
