The Baskerville label shows a rabelo, the flat-bottomed sailing boat that for centuries carried barrels of Port down the Douro to the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Porto, where the wine was aged and shipped to the world. Its English name is a nod to the British merchants who played a central part in that trade. Ruby is the youngest and fruitiest style of Port: a blend of Ports of different ages, all over three years old, aged in stainless steel to keep the fruit vivid.
